The hill fort of Bjorå is one of the best preserved hill forts in this part of Norway.
The fort is probably from approx. 400-600 AD. The hill forts were used in times of unrest during the late Roman period and Age of Migration (approx. 0-600 AD). The walls of the hill fort at Bjorå are clearly visible, giving you a good impression of the size of the fort. There are signs from Ågedal, and there is a marked path up to the fort (approx. 1 km). Drive to Konsmo and follow the signs to Kvås, turn off towards Skofteland Friområde and Åbestad.
