Visitors can also rent boats with up to 20 horse powered outboard motors and canoes. Guests can use small rowboats as pasrt of their stay.

There are scenic sea views from the guesthouses, a small private beach and bathing jetties. In the local surroundings, there are hiking opportunities with the fjord right outside the cabin door and trout fishing.

Seven kilometres along the fjord lays the Risør town center which is one of Europe's best preserved wooden cities, with a rich culture, restaurants, galleries and shops. There is regular bus service between guesthouse and Risør center.
